Ricotta's educazione

Actually, Carol told me she was at a loss with me because I was an avid mouther and despite multiple "No"s, I still continued and it made everyone unhappy as my teeth is sharp and it hurt.
So Carol went to ask from help, and many barking pals of hers gave her advice.

One of her bark pals said that it was because I did not know the consequences of what I do when I mouth, and the reason being- everyone was not consistent in my training! As it goes, a bad dog does not originate by itself, but because of a bad owner, so Carol decided to take the initiative to create a powerpoint to educate her family about consistent training.

In the end, it was successful and they applied their "knowledge" on me! Why do I have to be the cavia? But anyway, I managed to pick up fast and Carol was extremely pleased with my progress!
Now I know better than to mouth, well at least roughly. Teehee!

So for all those furry friend's momsies and dadsies out there, please be patient and consistent
when training! You have to remember that consistency and patience are the two key factors to training
and that we're just puppies. :)

Ricotta's visitatore e orecchio

I had a blast today! It was because Carol's bestie, Huishan, came to my house and I had fun meeting and playing with her :D I even sat on her lap! She got lots of kisses from me, and I was kind of naughty because I mouthed her hand. It was a good thing Huishan didn't mind and I didn't mouth hard either. I'm a sheltie who knows his limits teehee.

Actually Carol thinks I'm still a puppy, so mouthing is inevitable, so she was trying to get me to mouth softer, which was rather successful. I am a good boy who knows an occasional mouthing must be gentle! I'd rather chew on my toy, but sometimes visitors are all so.... intriguing ;)

Lick lick

Ooh! Huishan! Something's there!

Something's amusing Carol!

Carol, didn't you know I was a very kissy boy? ;)

Hmm.... Huishan's green collar looks interesting.

Mio orecchio!

Last but not least, as you can see, one of my ears are pricking up! Although this is only happening sometimes, Carol's been pressing down and massaging it for me, so now it is getting better and I am going back to normal, except when I lift up my head to try to lick faces and try to get the wind in my face. Teehee!

Obbediente Ricotta

As the title suggests, I was obedient! :) Actually, I was kind of naughty yesterday. I didn't know why, but I really got very excited yesterday and started jumping around Carol and hit her eye by accident. I was really sorry! Really! I became a quiet puppy and sat on Carol's lap without moving much, so she decided all was forgiven. Puppy dog eye power! Heehee.

Anyway, Carol said I was a good boy today because I went back to my tray to pee when she wasn't looking or carrying me there (those papers are fresh! No pee scent, no nothing :D), so Carol said I remember my toilet training lesson, just that I don't remember at times when I play too crazily and become a little crocodile, or at least that's what Carol said. I tried you know! Mi dispiace! Mi sono giovane il carino! But still, Carol was really pleased and I got kisses and praises. Molto bene!

And I can respond to my name, and I come, especially when Carol uses friendly tones. I like friendly tones! Carol said she's going to train me to walk on a leash, and I think I might be able to do it, after all, I am a brilliante pup! :)

My goat milk came yesterday, and I loved it a lot, I lapped up every single drop and I was trying to ask for more when Carol played her flute and interrupted me, so I sang along, but Carol's brother said I was being the silly little pup I was. Hey! I'm not silly! I'm intelligente! I practice for each il flauto session. Carol's brother is thinking of taking up the clarinet, so I will just have to learn how to sing parts for il flauto and il clarinetto. I wonder if I should start my own barkhoir, any one interested? Teehee.

Crocodilla.

Carol says I've been a good boy so I can use her computer for a while :D Actually I've been mooching around a lot, watching animal planet and hong kong dramas with Carol. I don't understand the dramas, because they have hoomans inside, and although I don't understand what they are barking about, I can tell that the hoomans bark at each other so angrily at times and so happily at times. Hoomans are funny!

I like animal planet though. You can see all those animals running around inside the barking box! And the best part is when the wild dogs bark and I harmonize with them. Carol says I need to work on my singing, but I really practiced my part hard! Everyday when they go onto the barking box I will sit down and practice real hard, but Carol and the other hoomans in the house think that singing isn't good. :'(

The barking box is really interesting you know, I see a lot of crocodiles and Carol always says I'm like the crocodiles. But I don't think so! The crocodiles snap at everything they see, especially the poor zebras and others. I don't do that! But Carol says her arm is a zebra and my mouth is the crocodile. I don't want to be like those green crocodiles! Carol's mommy says it's because she's too thin, but I just want to play!

I hope I won't be a crocodile anymore!
